A charity set up to help people improve their lives will soon be celebrating it's 25th anniversary. The Manor Training centre (MATREC) was launched in 1987 in an estate in Sheffield that was ones named the worst in Britain.

The main goal for MATREC was to help former steelworkers to gain new jobs, it is now an adult education centre which has helped people gain more than 10,000 qualifications to help them get new jobs in many different industries.
